A home purchase or sale is probably the largest financial transaction people will be involved with in their entire lives and can be replete with complex, interlocking regulations that’s best left to experienced professionals.
I consider residential real estate to be one of the most long-term, satisfying areas of law. Since 1990, my real estate practice has been concentrated on properties located within Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, New York. Essentially, my goal is to make the entire home purchase or sale process easier for you.
The best compliments I’ve received from my clients have been unintended, such as, “that was so easy, why did we even have to hire a lawyer?” Well, in my line of work I don’t like surprises. And, I prepare virtually the entire closing before the actual closing.
I find clients appreciate such personal service as taking their calls or immediately returning them, working with the brokers and counsel, providing estimated closing statements ahead of time (closing costs include taxes, fees for services, or other charges incurred in connection with the residential property transfer), etc.
Diligent and personal representation is a bargain at twice the price when you consider the amount of actual work and import the lawyer’s role is relative to the purchase price and other transactional costs and expenses. While a typical real estate broker’s commission is 5% – legal fees are a fraction of that expense.
My fees are affordable and I strive for excellence in all of my work. I appreciate your confidence and look forward to working with you on this important transaction.
